About Me

Birth Place: Taisoro,Pepjei,Rotuma on 13/12/40.Recruited into British Army in November 1961,served 24+ years(21 in Special Forces,Hereford.)Discharged from Services and worked for the founder of the SF till he died,became freelance in the Sy Industry and worked from South Africa(Conservation) to Guyana/Papua New Guinea as sy.consultant in Omai/Pogera,Sierra Leone for 12+ years that ushered Democracy in 1996 and Again from Sept.'97 to 2006 including "hostage rescue" flying as gunner in MI24 in support. Now retired and with my author,writing a book about my 12+ years in SL.

Now the book is finished and will be launched in London on June,30th. The title is "From SAS To Blood Diamond Wars" by Hamish Ross and Fred MarafonoMBE. Yahoo or Google will access you to what the book is all about.

Many thanks for making contact and your very kind comments and as a surprice for you, your uncle Savea was my best friend when we were young.Also two of my friends from Kalvakta,Jio and Rupeti together with my elder brother, Sosefo wewr the first to play "truant" in the island!"Mo' 'e Hejaojo ma hahai 'e jojo" was the chant by the Pepjei gang! But such is life,you live and learn!

Sounds like a very interesting read.
Please keep us updated as
to when it will be published.
My dad, Nasario is also from Pepjei and was born around the same time as you.
My moms from Kalvaka. I've never been to Rotuma but will do so in the near future.

Noaia Rachel, after I had posted my comments and only then I found out that you live in America. It is a great platform of getting Rotumans at home(Rotuma) and abroad to keep intouch and communicate with each other especially, home news through the Rotuma website. Goodbye for now and God bless.
